The origins of the DEF Network go back to the company DEF, founded in France in 1958 by Daniel Lecuyer on the basis of a smoke detector.
Over the years, demand for long-term protection of people and property has intensified and diversified.
To meet this need, DEF has gradually created or acquired companies to offer its customers solutions for all types of fire risk.
All these companies today form DEF Network.

In 2024, DEF Network brings together more than 60 companies with expertise in a complementary field of fire safety, all of which are dedicated to protecting you from the multiple risks of fire and supporting you over the long term.

Our products and systems are manufactured and distributed at our 13 industrial sites: production plants, refurbishment sites and logistics centres.
